Wednesday Night Classes: Round 3

Earlier this fall, we launched a series of Wednesday night classes at our church building. The next three-week block begins October 21 with two brand new courses. We’ll open each session with worship in the auditorium, then split into groups by class, and come back together at the end for snacks and fellowship. Adults and teens are welcome to participate, and we’ll provide childcare each week for younger children.

Class Descriptions

“Spiritual Gifts” with Tim Chambers

Over the next three weeks, Tim Chambers will lead students through a verse-by-verse study of the primary New Testament passages that talk about spiritual gifts. Along the way, students will have opportunities to ask questions, discuss the application of these texts, and perhaps experience some of the Spirit’s gifts in a workshop setting.

“Discipling Children” with Mary Chambers

Join our Director of Children’s Ministry, Mary Chambers, for an extended discussion on discipling children in the church, the home, and the community. Mary will explain our philosophy of children’s ministry and why making disciples of all ages is the mission of the whole church. She’ll lay out our plan for implementing this philosophy on Sunday mornings, and we’ll hear from a few Christ’s Church parents about how they are discipling children during the week, too.

We’re asking each teen or adult who plans to attend one of these classes to register using the form here. This will help us prepare classroom spaces in advance, and it will ensure that we have adequate childcare available. (Parents, when you register, only one of you needs to add the kids to your registration form.)
